The first burnout comp of the year, the Scotty Joseph Memorial, is always a top event but this year was one to remember! A massive crowd came to watch the big field of cars send smoke to the heavens. While there was plenty of carnage at this event, the ones that made it through put on a great spectacle.

The first tyre smashing event of the year is approaching quickly! As always this is the Scotty Joseph memorial event which attracts a great audience and line up for entrants.
This event also has the perpetual Scotty Joseph trophy, awarded to the best skid of the night. Who will win it this year?
Gates swing open at 2PM with practice until 6PM. Heats and finals follow until 10PM.
Classes are as per normal, 4cyl, 6cyl, 8cyl, open and ladies classes. Prize money and trophies for each class.…
The NQ PRO Burnouts is not only the biggest tyre smashing event in the North paying big coin to attract the best vehicles across QLD and beyond, but is also now an official qualifying event for the Summernats #26 Burnout Masters. So all you burnout kings out there, get your car ready for the NQ PRO Burnouts this August 11th, Cairns Speedway, for your chance chance to skid with the best and try and take out the coin and a chance for entry to the Summernats #26 Burnout Masters.…
So, the wait is finally over! The 2012 dates have come back. The dates for this year are as follows;

August 11th – NQ PRO Burnouts #4

November 3rd

This years 2011 NQ PRO Burnouts is done and dusted after an incredible display by all the competitors. With drivers from as far away as Adelaide making the trip to compete, everyone had to step it up a notch and did they ever! Every driver was driving to win and the crowd roared as each entrant smashed their tyres. If you didn’t make it to the event, why not?!
After many late nights in the sheds, and still working on it the day of the event, Jason Tanks in CASPER was back to defend his 2010 win.…
The NQ PRO BURNOUTS is the tyre smashing event of the north with $10,000 cash up for grabs over the top three places. With this sort of prize pool there will be big cubes, blowers and plenty of methanol!

A first for the event is the Meguiar’s Show & Shine! There will be Top Ford, Holden, Chrysler, American and Top ‘Stand Out’ awarded to the one Show & Shine entrant that wows the judges on the pad also.…
Unfortunately our first event didn’t go as planned due to damage to the lighting, but all this is resolved so we will be holding the Scotty Joseph event on June 11!

Well it has been a pretty wet start to the year, but that’s pretty much the norm for up here! With more support from drivers, the crowd and sponsors in 2010, this years events are shaping up to be a cracker of a year.
The tyre frying will continue in 2011 with five competitions throughout the year, and as as usual the first meet will be the Scotty Joseph Memorial to be held on April 16th.
The NQ PRO Burnouts will also return in 2011 with the huge success from the previous years.…
